All,
I just want to say how informative this site has been in helping me decide about putting a package in. But if I could have the chance to talk with some prior Navy folks who went WO I could ask them direct questions and they would know exactly where I am coming from. So if you prior Navy WO's could message me I would really appreciate it and I'll message you back with the questions.
Thanks again,

Cutlass,
I've got a question for you. My son-in-law is stationed at Pensacola and is thinking about applying for the Warrant Officer flight program. I came in of the street in 1968 so I'm not much of a resource. How difficult was it for you to apply and where is the best place to start? Any insight you have would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Mac
I'll also throw this question out to the masses.

This may be an old thread but will give you a good idea how to start

 Bug,
Thanks for the info I'll pass it to my son-in-law. I would really rather see him as an Army WO-1 instead of an Ensign, his other option. It's bad enough I've got one son-in-law who's a 2LT, Armor.

Mac

If that thread doesn't help or you still need help let me know. I was prior Navy so I can help him out in getting started on his package. If you need my email let me know and you can pass it on to him. Hope this helps.

Not that the grass is always greener, because it's not. I'm just curious why WO-1 and not the glamorous Naval Aviator life for your son-in-law?

How can I interact with my fellow dinasours if both my son-n-laws are O-1's? Seriously, in the Navy he's looking at OTS and a non-flying career. He wants to fly and I think the Army gives him the best shot. Besides, I would be unbeliveablly proud to have another Army Aviator in the family. I realize this sounds gushy but it's true
I will now return to my normal self.
